It’s been more than three months since Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas exchanged vows in back-to-back ceremonies in Mumbai, India, but the hubbub surrounding their magical wedding has far from subsided. Most recently, Jonas, 26, told E! News that he’s found marriage to be a “learning experience every day.”

“[We’re] continuing to grow and adapt together,” he said, pointing to “late night talks” as a crucial way that he and Chopra, 36, stay connected and learn from one another. Both he and Chopra have also shared their fair share of insider glimpses into their wedding after the fact—giving fans fun tidbits about what it was like to plan and then take part in such an epic effort.

Here, The Knot rounds up all the surprising facts we’ve learned about the Jonas-Chopra wedding in the months since they said “I do.”

Nick Agrees: He Had Too Many Weddings

On a recent episode of Carpool Karaoke, James Corden asked the Jonas Brothers whether or not there were moments when they were “over” the drawn-out celebrations of Jonas’ wedding. All three brothers—Kevin, Joe, and Nick—responded “yes.”

Said Nick with a laugh, “It was when I looked at the bill.”

Priyanka Wanted a Remote Destination Wedding

Surprisingly, getting married in India wasn’t even Chopra’s idea, though she was born and raised there. The Quantico actress told Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show last month that her initial inclination was for the pair to get hitched a bit off the grid.

“I wanted to get married on some private island, away from everything,” she said. Seychelles, Maldives, Mauritius and other spots were all high on their list of potential locations, but ultimately, they got “really stressed” about the logistics of planning a destination wedding.

Then, Jonas came up with an idea. “Nick just said, ‘Why aren’t we doing this in India? Shouldn’t I be taking my bride from her home?’” she said. The rest was history.

They Planned for Two Months

Chopra’s longtime stylist, Ami Patel, made a mind-boggling admission to Vogue India earlier this year: for all of the fanfare and ceremony involved in Jonas and Chopra’s wedding, the pair actually only spent two months wedding planning.

“One thing you should know is that [Chopra’s] wedding was not planned months in advance or anything; it was barely a two months heads up, which is a tight window frame for a bride,” Patel said at the time. “It was a bit of a challenge, but Priyanka’s always thrown challenges at me, so I wasn’t surprised.”

Priyanka Was Most Nervous in Her Veil

Chopra told Good Morning America in February that she was daunted by the task of making it down the aisle gracefully during the Christian ceremony, given that her Ralph Lauren gown was accompanied by an elaborate veil.

“Right before I was supposed to walk down the aisle, I remember them putting the veil on me,” she said. “I was like—I’m going to strain my neck muscles like the mother of dragons. I was standing right behind the curtains and they were going to tell me when to walkout. And the music was going to start playing. I just started having a panic attack, and then the doors opened and I saw him. I cannot forget that moment.”

Priyanka’s Perspective About the Name Change Was Really Sweet

When fans went into an uproar after Chopra changed her last name to Jonas, Chopra stood firm in her decision. In February, she told Jimmy Fallon that she actually “didn’t realize it was that much of a big deal until [she] did it.” But ultimately, she’s excited that she was able to. “I always wanted to add his name to mine because I feel like we’re becoming family, and I’m a little traditional and old school like that. But I don’t take away my identity. He gets added to who I am.”
