EastEnders has revealed a first look at the moment that Karen Taylor’s daughter Chantelle Atkins arrives in Walford.

Show bosses have cast former Neon Jungle singer Jessica Plummer in the role of Chantelle, who’s often been mentioned since the Taylors moved to Albert Square in 2017.

Upcoming episodes see Denise and Kim Fox go head-to-head with Mitch Baker (Roger Griffiths) as they compete for an investment from Patrick Trueman.

Denise and Kim want to launch a hair salon, but Mitch offers some competition by suggesting a barbers instead. Intrigued by both ideas, Patrick encourages them to launch temporary pop-up salons and see who is most successful.

When Kim and Denise gloat about landing a great new stylist, Mitch is shocked to realise that he’ll be going head-to-head with his own daughter Chantelle.

Chantelle will be followed by her own family in the next few weeks, as it’s been announced that her husband Gray and their children Mia and Mackenzie will also be moving to the Square.

Coming up on Coronation Street, the pressure increases on Nick Tilsley as scheming Natalie refuses to give up on her demands for cash.

Natalie helped Nick (Ben Price) to steal Audrey Roberts’s inheritance money at the start of the year, but has since been blackmailing him in return for her silence.

Next week, on the day of the factory roof collapse, Natalie cheekily sends Nick a selfie showing her at Audrey’s salon for a haircut.

Nick and David both panic over the thinly-veiled warning and things only get worse when Natalie makes a new demand.

Natalie challenges Nick to a game of table football, promising that she’ll leave for good if he wins. If she’s victorious, she expects cash or a job.

Taking a risk, Nick agrees to Natalie’s crazy proposal. Who will come out on top and could the result of this game give Nick even more of a motive for the Underworld disaster?

Meanwhile, Emmerdale‘s Nicola King continues to consider the possibility of becoming a local councillor.

Nicola (Nicola Wheeler) has become fixated on the idea as a way of proving herself useful to Kim Tate, who was released from prison this week.

Ambitious Nicola counts herself lucky to be in Kim’s favour, but has been warned that it might not last for long if she doesn’t prove her worth.

With this in mind, Nicola is given food for thought when she hears about plans for the local school to shift to a four-day week.

Sensing controversy, Nicola realises that she could exploit this issue to get herself voted onto the council.
