Everyone’s favorite little royal, Princess Charlotte of Cambridge, turns 4 on Thursday, and as expected her parents, Prince William and Duchess Kate, released new pictures of their only daughter.
The photos were taken by Kate in April at Kensington Palace, the family’s London base, and at their Cambridge country home in Norfolk, the palace said.
Charlotte was wearing two different outfits in the pictures, including a blue-patterned dress with a Peter Pan collar, and a heather-grey sweater over a plaid skirt.
The pictures show off Charlotte’s energy and cheeky little-girl charm, on display in recent years when she served as a bridesmaid at cousin Princess Eugenie’s royal wedding in October 2018, at uncle Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s royal wedding in May 2018, and at aunt Pippa Middleton’s wedding in May 2017.
She was especially cute showing off her royal wave to a mob of photographers while accompanying her father and brother, Prince George, 5, to St. Mary’s Hospital in London in April 2018 to see Kate, who had just given birth to little brother Prince Louis.

Charlotte was wearing one of her signature dresses, similar to the English classic smock dresses her mother prefers.
Some of Charlotte’s dresses sell out only hours after she appears in them, making her as much a fashion influencer as her mother.
In two of the pictures, she’s snapped sitting on a fence and dashing across a lawn. In all of the pictures, she’s got a wide grin on her face.

As has become tradition with the Cambridges, the family also released pictures of Louis to mark his first birthday on April 23, and can be expected to follow suit when George turns 6 in July.

And Kate, an enthusiastic photographer of her children, can be expected to take those snaps, too.
Charlotte’s and Louis’ birthdays come just as Harry and Meghan’s first baby is expected any day, leaving fans with plenty of royal baby news to coo over.
