She admitted her three-year stint on TOWIE marked the beginning of her mental health battle.

The First Time Mum star, who shares 18-month-old daughter Sunday with ex Arthur Collins, also confessed she was left paranoid and ‘couldn’t trust anyone’ after the news of her pregnancy with her only child was leaked.

During her time on the ITVBe reality show, a series of her personal woes were displayed, from the demise of her six-year relationship co-star Charlie Sims to the break-down of her friendships with on/off pal Gemma Collins

On coping with life on reality TV, the reality star revealed: ‘I mean, it [TOWIE] was amazing and it provided so many opportunities, but, that was the start of my anxiety.

‘I think, you have to grow a very thick skin and be aware that if you’re gonna join a reality show, there’s gonna be loads of highs and lows because some of the stick that you get, on social media, can be soul destroying.’

The blonde beauty, who revealed she felt ‘very misunderstood’ on the Essex-based series, also insisted ‘damaging’ reality TV ‘can be worrying’ as structured series aren’t ‘real’.

Ferne went on to explain the pain of having her baby news made public before she could announce it herself.

‘I think I have suffered from paranoia and anxiety. I think paranoia comes from a situation that you’ve been through, or, maybe, even a person that has projected that onto you.

‘But, especially in this industry, trust is a really big thing and I went through a situation where, for a long time, I felt like I couldn’t trust anyone and that, really, affects how you live your life…

‘When I was pregnant, my pregnancy, actually, got leaked to the press. So, I never had that amazing moment of, like, “I’m pregnant”.

‘It was, obviously, still a very exciting, happy, moment for me, but, I think that, that has been really hard to deal with…’, she elaborated.

Revealing her stance on whether she’d like her daughter to star on a reality series in the future, the mother-of-one explained: ‘If Sunday was thinking about doing a reality show, Love Island or TOWIE…

‘I’d like to think that I would encourage and support whatever she’d want to do, but, I probably would say no. I’d be like, “go to university, darling and boys”, she playfully said.

Elsewhere in the discussion, the Brentwood native revealed she’s been seeing a therapist for nearly a year and urged her fans to reach out for help when suffering from mental health issues.

‘You should speak to someone. I haven’t actually told anyone this, but, I would say, for about eight months, I’ve been seeing a therapist, once a week, and it’s, honestly, been the best thing that I have ever done’, Ferne explained.
