It was meant to be a special day as Sinead Tinker and Daniel Osbourne finally celebrated their wedding on Coronation Street .
But just hours after their surprise do at the bistro, Sinead, who is played by Katie McGlynn, found a lump on the back of her neck.
Her auntie Beth had been fixing her hair when she spotted the lump and Sinead was left frozen in fear when she felt it for herself.
The shocking discovery left Corrie viewers in tears, with one tweeting: “I’ve got chills I’m so heartbroken for Sinead and her little family.”
“I’m not crying, you’re crying! #sinead,” another wrote.
A third wrote: “Watching Sinead & Daniel together really is beyond heartbreaking, especially when she’s literally only got months to live sadly.”
Another posted: “This is so sad imagine what it’s going to be like when Sinead dies.”
Sinead was forced to break the news to Daniel when she took him to one side at their reception.
“I’ve found a lump,” she said as his face fell.
During their first dance Daniel admitted that he was “scared” about what would happen next.
She told him: “Me too, but right now I’m having a beautiful day.”
Sadly the discovery leads to devastating news for Sinead as next week she discovers that the cancer has spead.
She will be told that she has just months to live.
Coronation Street airs Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 7:30pm and 8:30pm on ITV.
