RAPID CITY, S.D. — The Best Western Ramkota hosted the 43rd annual bridal show over the weekend.
The 2020 showcase is the largest bridal show in the state with over 60 local vendors present to assist soon-to-be-brides and grooms. Vendors included companies specializing in skin car, media, transportation and many venues.
In an effort to make all brides feel beautiful, the Med Spa provides service for that special day, and has seen a growing male clientele with many coming in for botox.
“We also do bridal parties there,” said Nic Yost, Owner of Med Spa. “so we have a VIP room that you can rent out that we have beer and wine in, and usually serve mimosas, you can bring your wedding party there and get treatments as well like the day before and day of.”
For those still searching for venues and transportation Hay Camp and Giddy Up Party Shuttle provide services for wedding parties.
“Between our main event hall where we’ve done several wedding rehearsals and receptions, even ceremonies, as well as the front corner room in the commons we’re trying to let people know that they can bring their party down to Hay Camp.” Sam Papendick, Co-Owner of Hay Camp.
Local couples also enjoy the show, as it highlights local businesses within South Dakota.
“We’re definitely trying to keep it local, i think having small business around here that are available to meet up in person and sit down and talk one on one with you guys, it really helps to just have them around here because if you get people traveling that adds fees to it as well. It’s really nice, we had coffee with a photographer and that smoothed over feelings, so that’s really nice.” Taylor Topping and Zane Haase, local couple.
Along with Vendors, there were taste testing and cake testing booths, as well as a wedding dress fashion show and special wedding prizes.
